| "We did not say that a woman is prized only for her good looks. We did not say that a woman is here merely to complete a man, and therefore a single woman is somehow missing her destiny. What we said was, first, that Eve is the crown of creation. there ir something magnificent and powerful about a woman. We tried to reveal the immeasurable dignity, the holiness of your feminine heart by showing that it is God who longs for Romance; it is God wo longs to be our ezer; it is God who reveals beauty as essential to life. You are the image bearer of this God. That is why you long for those things too"
"Think of the reat stories-in nearly all of them, the villain goes after the Hero's true love. He turns his sights on the beauty. Longshanks goes after Murron in braveheart. the witch attacks the Sleeping Beauty. The stepssters assault Cinderella. Satan goes after Eve.
This explains an awful lot. It is not meant to scare you. Actually, it will shed so much light on your life's story, if you will let it. Most of you thought the things that have happened to you were somehow YOUR fault - that you deserved it. if only you had been prettier or smarter or done more or pleased them, somehow it wouldn't have happened. you would have loved. They wouldn't have hurt you.
And most of you are living with the guilt that somehow it's your fault that you aren't deeply pursued now. That you have no beauty to unveil. The message of your wounds nearly always is, "This is because of you. This is what you deserve." It changes things to realize that, no, it is becuase you are glorious that these things happened. it is beause you are a major threat to the kindgom of darkness. because you uniquely carry the glory of God to the world.
You are hated because of your beauty and power."

| Look at my heart again Look at the mess I've got it in I'm trying to trust in You To know that you'll see me through Through my pride Through my shame Into Your love Into Your grace I'm not looking back Till I see Your face And I'm running straight to You Because All I really want to do is to fall into The emptiness that is The space in-between us To break this division All I really want to do is to fall into The emptiness that is The space in-between us Erase it and bring us together again My life's like an open book Nothing is hidden when you look You break through my boundaries Revealing my insecurities But through my pride And through my shame You show me love You show me grace I'm not looking back Till I see your face And I'm running straight to you Because Here I am saying I need you I know I need you Here I am, I'm coming to meet you Cause I want to see you | | |
| guide me. at the end, i just want to be madly in love with You. | | |
| "These people who contributed to who I am, they are with me wherever I go, and as history gets rewritten in small ways with each passing day, my love for them only grows. Because the truth is... it was the best of times. Mistakes were made, hearts were broken, harsh lessons learned, but all of that has receded into fond memory now. How does it happen? Why are we so quick to forget the bad and romanticize the good? Maybe it's because we need to believe that the time we spent together actually meant something, that we were there for each other in a time in our lives that defined us all, a time in our lives that we will never forget. I can't swear this is not exactly how it happened. But this is how it felt." -Joey, Dawson's Creek | | |
